Elections 2023: Swiss Abroad candidates

The Fifth Switzerland does not form a separate constituency: those who vote must vote in their home canton; those who run for office must do so for a party in their home canton. 

Or to put it another way: those who want to stand for election are dependent on a cantonal party that is willing to put foreign candidates on its electoral list or even draw up an additional, separate «list of Swiss Abroad».
