Swiss culture: an export product?
The 99th Congress of the Swiss Abroad 2023 will be held in St. Gallen from 18 to 20 August 2023.
The dissemination of Swiss culture abroad and international cultural exchange are key elements of cultural promotion. This also includes education and Swiss schools abroad. Although our country's culture does not stop at our borders, the very rich cultural heritage of the Swiss abroad is not sufficiently recognised. However, the dissemination of culture and the exchange associated with it, as well as the preservation of tangible and intangible heritage, have a strong influence on identity formation, the perception of a country abroad, the economy and also technological development.
