Swiss Post's e-voting system passes another test
From 8 August to 2 September, about 3,400 ethical hackers put Swiss Post's e-voting system to the test in a public intrusion test. The participants were able to go through the voting process and to target the voting system. No security-related gaps were discovered in about 60,000 attacks.

With these results, Swiss Post hopes that the revised system will be accessible to the first cantons in the course of next year.
The Organisation of the Swiss Abroad, SwissCommunity, welcomes the steps towards a secure and verified e-voting system. Such a system can make it easier for the Swiss Abroad to exercise their political rights and promote democratic participation in the Fifth Switzerland.
