Entering Switzerland: all pandemic-related measures lifted
Published on February 18, 2022
From 17 February 2022, all restrictions on entry into Switzerland will be lifted.
At its meeting on 16 February 2022, the Federal Council decided to lift almost all COVID-19 measures from 17 February 2022.
- The mask requirement is lifted, except in public transport and healthcare institutions.
- The certificate requirement for many cultural venues, public settings and events is lifted.
- Only the requirements to isolate in the event of a positive test will remain in place.
Also, all COVID-19 restrictions for entering Switzerland will be lifted as of 17 February 2022. This removes the need for an entry form (Passenger Locator Form PLF), as well as the requirement for health certificates such as negative tests. Only people entering Switzerland from a country with a variant of concern must observe the health-related measures at the border.
